Phao Preece is qualified as a Usui Reiki Master and Karuna Ki Master.
Phao was introduced to Reiki healing after meeting the gifted healer and Reiki Grand Master, Maria Sheepy. Under Maria’s tutelage, Phao was attuned to Master level in Usui Reiki by Judy Howell, and continued further training over the next two years with Maria to reach Master level in Karuna Ki Reiki.
Reiki has not only become an important addition to my healing toolkit, especially for patients where acupuncture may not be appropriate, but has become a profound daily practice for my own health and wellbeing.
* Initial joint Reiki and Acupuncture appointment require a 90 minute session at £55.00.
Payment can be made by cash or credit card.
All visits by appointment only. Longer sessions or home visits can be arranged in special circumstances.
First, Phao will spend a few minutes asking about your health and wellbeing, before making you comfortable either lying down on the treatment couch or sitting in a chair, whichever is preferable to you. No clothes need to be removed. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes. You will be asked to remove your shoes, watch, glasses and any bulky jewellery. She will cover you with a warm blanket, add cushions for comfort, dim the lights and play soft music.
Reiki is given by gentle touch by the healer or with hands hovering above specific areas on the recipient’s body. The sensation is of a gentle warmth and is deeply relaxing - people often fall asleep! Often people see colours or images, feel sensations such as muscles releasing tension, and experience a general sense of peace.
After treatment, it is recommended to drink plenty of water to flush toxins out the system.
There are two types of pure Reiki sessions available – a half hour ‘Taster’ session, and a full hour standard session. Reiki healing can also be given during an acupuncture session.
As often as you like! Daily Reiki would be amazing, but for most people not practical. Every person is unique and has different requirements, however, in general it is beneficial having two or three sessions close together, perhaps weekly, and then any further sessions spread out as needed. Phao will give you options during your first session.
One of its main benefits is stress reduction and relaxation, which improves sleep, digestion and general health, releases tension from muscles, and brings a feeling of calm and a clarity of thought.
As a holistic therapy, Reiki works on Mind, Body and Soul: Balancing emotions and helping break negative thought patterns; improving the body’s natural healing abilities and relieving pain; and brings about a sense of peace and harmony.
Additionally, there are no known contraindications for Reiki, so it can be safely given while taking medicines, to help alleviate side effects from cancer treatment, to aid recovery post-surgery or long term illness, as well as during pregnancy.
